1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using Modern Med Life ("we", "us", "our"), including the AI Longevity Assistant, longevity tools, and related services (collectively, the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.

2. Not Medical Advice

The Service is for educational and informational purposes only. It is not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
  • The AI Longevity Assistant is not a licensed healthcare provider and does not establish a doctor-patient relationship
  • No content provided by the Service should be considered medical advice or used to make clinical decisions
  • Always consult your physician or a qualified healthcare professional before making decisions about your health, treatment, or medication
  • If you are experiencing a medical emergency, call 911 or your local emergency number immediately
  • We explicitly disclaim any liability for health decisions made based on information provided by the Service

3. AI Technology Limitations

The Service uses experimental artificial intelligence technology (Google's Gemini API) to generate responses. You acknowledge and agree that:

  • AI-generated responses may contain errors, inaccuracies, or hallucinations — information that appears plausible but is factually incorrect
  • AI technology is rapidly evolving and not infallible; outputs should be independently verified before relying on them
  • Responses may not reflect the most current medical research or guidelines
  • The AI does not have access to your complete medical history, physical examination findings, or diagnostic test results beyond what you voluntarily share
  • Literature citations provided by the AI are sourced from a curated corpus and may not represent the full scope of available evidence

4. Your Responsibilities

  • Clinical decisions are solely your responsibility. You bear full responsibility for any health, fitness, nutrition, or medical decisions you make
  • You agree to consult a licensed healthcare professional before starting any new exercise program, diet, supplement regimen, or medication
  • You are responsible for the accuracy of any health data you provide to the Service (health profile, biomarkers, medical history)
  • You agree not to use the Service as a replacement for professional medical consultations, especially for serious or time-sensitive health concerns

5. Age Requirement

You must be at least 18 years of age to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you are 18 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect or solicit personal information from anyone under 18.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for clinical practice, to provide medical advice to others, or in any manner requiring regulatory approval
  • Misrepresent AI-generated content as professional medical advice
  • Attempt to circumvent rate limits, authentication, or security measures
  • Upload malicious files or content that violates applicable laws
  • Use the Service to generate content that is harmful, misleading, or violates third-party rights

7. Intellectual Property

  • The Service, its design, code, and original content are owned by Modern Med Life
  • Medical literature cited by the AI Longevity Assistant is sourced from the PMC Open Access Subset under Creative Commons licenses (CC0, CC BY, CC BY-SA) and remains the property of its respective authors and publishers
  • AI-generated responses are provided for your personal, non-commercial use
  • You retain ownership of any data or content you submit to the Service

8. Data & Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your data, including health information you voluntarily provide. By using the Service, you consent to the data practices described in the Privacy Policy.

9. Third-Party Services

The Service integrates with third-party providers including Google's Gemini API, Firebase, and YouTube. Your use of these integrated services is subject to their respective terms of service. We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or content of third-party services.

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, MODERN MED LIFE AND ITS OPERATORS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO PERSONAL INJURY, HEALTH COMPLICATIONS, OR ADVERSE OUTCOMES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE OR RELIANCE ON AI-GENERATED CONTENT.

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
